3. Standards of work and liability
- 3.1 Glass may crack beyond repair during the process of attempting a repair. In this instance our technicians will not be liable for any damage, and will ask if you would like to replace the glass.
- 3.2 All repairs are attempted repairs and no certainty of success can be given prior to undertaking work due to the nature of the materials involved. Please note that we do not guarantee that the attempted repair to your windscreen will be successful in every case. Through no fault of our technicians, there is a risk of a crack appearing in the windscreen during the repair process and by ordering the services from us, you acknowledge this risk
- 3.2.1 You accept that following completion of a repair, some damage to the windscreen may still be visible. Our aim is to contain the damage and restore the original strength of the windscreen only.
- 3.3 Should you be unhappy with the visibility of the repair we will offer to replace the glass and provide a quotation for our services.
- 3.4 Should the metal framework be corroded we reserve the right to refuse to fit replacement glass for safety reasons.
- 3.5 Should damage to the vehicle (damage to bits other than the glass and frame, like if the paint-work got scratched or the bonnet dented for example) occur during replacement or fitting we will endeavour to arrange repair at no cost to yourself. Should you undertake repair work without our consent we are not obliged to pay the costs incurred.
- 3.6 In some instances your windscreen will need a new moulding at the same time as the installation. Our engineers will inform you whether this will be necessary, in which case an additional charge may be incurred.
